BUSTLEWORSHIP is focused on breathing new life into old objects. Starting with vintage garments and fabric as a base, I hand-embroider visuals from talisman magic and sacred symbols to pop art personas and animal imagery. Hand embroidery can take anywhere from two to two hundred human hours of production. Monograms and some small monochromatic jams are added using a 1936 Singer hand-cranked chainstitch machine. Bridal garments available upon request.
